Under Review: Parade de Pilotes
Jim France, founder of GRAND-AM Road Racing and Chairman of the Board of Directors that will be guiding the new United SportsCar Racing series next year, was a special guest of ACO President Pierre Fillon Friday night in the reviewing stand at the traditional "Parade de Pilotes" (Drivers Parade) in the town of Le Mans, France. More than 100,000 people gathered for the celebration with the parade, which started at the Circuit de la Sarthe and continued into the center of Le Mans. Drivers rode in convertibles, interacting with fans along the way, in the process passing by Jim France and Pierre Fillon.
The parade has been called "a major indispensable event registered forever in the fabulous legend and heritage of the 24 hours of Le Mans."
