The opening round of the 2013 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón is getting closer. Just as it did in 1999, the season starts in central Florida with one of the world’s premier sports car races.

With the 61st Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh from Florida Sebring nearly 70 days away, we thought it would be fun to look back at the first ALMS race.
