Lucas Luhr Fastest In Final Lime Rock Warm-Up

LAKEVILLE, Conn. (July 6, 2013) - Lucas Luhr and Ryan Briscoe were quickest in Saturday morning’s 25-minute warm-up for the American Le Mans Northeast Grand Prix. The race at Lime Rock Park begins at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN2,live).
Luhr ran a lap of 46.391 in the No. 6 Muscle Milk Pickett Racing HPD ARX-03c. Co-driver Lucas Luhr – who won the P1 pole in Friday’s qualifying – also spent time in the car during the session.
Briscoe, who starts from the P2 pole in the No. 551 Level 5 Motorsports Siemens/Alpina Watches/Ohiya Casino Resort HPD ARX-03b, led his class with a lap of 47.210 seconds.
Other class leaders in the session were: Bill Auberlen in GT, 51.819 seconds in the No. 55 BMW Team RLL Crown Plaza BMW Z4 GTE; Kyle Marcelli in Prototype Challenge presented by Continental Tire (PC), 49.679 seconds in the No. 8 BAR1 Motorsports Merchant Services Ltd./Evident Capital/MBRP Performance Exhaust Oreca FLM09; and Jeroen Bleekemolen in GTC, 55.461 seconds in the No. 22 Alex Job Racing WeatherTech Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.
BMW has been strong all weekend with its pair of BMW Team RLL Z4 GTEs starting 1-2 for today's two hour, 45-minute race.
The only break in the session was to retrieve the stopped car of Guy Smith, who went off track in Turn 4 in the No. 16 Dyson Racing Mazda/Thetford/Norcold Lola B12/60.
